A Step-by-Step Guide to Completing the CSS/Profile — Accurately AND Strategically
Many private universities require a second form, in addition to the FAFSA, to qualify for financial aid. The form, offered by the College Board, is called the CSS/Profile, and it’s used to determine eligibility for certain aid and scholarships.
This presentation by LifeLaunchr Founder Venkates “Swami” Swaminathan and coach Claire Schadler will show you how to figure out if you need to fill out the CSS/Profile and how to fill it out to maximize your aid opportunities. The form is simple to fill out, but it is critical, depending on your circumstances, so don’t miss the webinar.

The College Board offers the College Scholarship Service (CSS)/Profile to help colleges allocate financial aid. The College Board also administers the SAT and AP Exams. Colleges use the CSS/Profile, similar to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), to determine the amount of financial aid and scholarships a student will receive. The 2025 CSS/Profile for students attending college in the 2026-27 academic year became available on October 1.
This webinar (about the CSS/Profile) is one of a series of three. The others in the series cover the FAFSA and scholarships.
You’ll gain:
- An overview of the financial aid system
- Clear instructions on how to fill out the FAFSA
- An explanation of what information is needed and who needs to provide it
